As a passionate backend engineer you will work on loyalty propositions: AirMiles, Koopzegels (Purchase stamps) and targeted offers such as Bonus box. These propositions are displayed through the My Albert Heijn lane of the Home Screen of the Albert Heijn apps. The team builds integrations in a landscape of distributed systems of external partners and Albert Heijn brands such as Etos and Gall & Gall. Which makes this an exciting project to work on 

 

This is how you will reinvent food retail 

As Senior Backend Developer at AH Technology, you contribute to the improvement and optimization of the experience of millions of Albert Heijn customers. Using the latest technology, you transform the ever-changing insights in the world of online and offline shopping into code that works. In short, you use your programming skills to develop, test and implement new functionalities, together with your team. You participate in standups and refinements, develop code, write tests and continuously integrate/deploy the solutions. Beyond your own team, you contribute to the AH Tech community via Guilds, inner source initiatives, and more. We are looking for a solid backend developers that knows their way around distributed systems and integrations.

We work in a hybrid way, where we meet (on average) 2 days at the office in Zaandam, what is close to the train station, and 8 min from Amsterdam ;-).??

At AH Technology you'll be working for one of the biggest food retailers in the Netherlands. To be successful as our new backend engineer you bring:? 

• A Technology/IT Engineering bachelor or master's degree, or equivalent 3/5 years of work experience;? 

• You know your technology stack: you are experienced in Kotlin and preferably MongoDB, GraphQL, Spring boot and have experience with distributed systems. 

• Experience in Cloud (Azure preferred, but we will get you up to speed if you have AWS/Google experience);? 

• Know your way around with CI/CD, including test automation integrations and release engineering automation (fyi, we use Azure Devops and Github Actions)? 

• Experience with the DevOps way of work. You build it, you run it? 

• Outstanding communication in English.?
