JOB DESCRIPTION In de rol van Business Development Manager ben jij het aanspreekpunt voor onze huidige en potentiele klanten. Jij denkt mee over de kansen en de mogelijkheden voor deze klanten en hoe je dit kunt implementeren in onze organisatie binnen de afdeling Air Logistics.

Je functie

Om succesvol te zijn in deze rol beschik jij over relevante Supply Chain ervaring en ben je specialist binnen de luchtvracht. Je bent gedreven om de beste oplossing aan te bieden, je bent commercieel sterk maar ook een relatiebeheerder met passie voor het vak. Je denkt mee met de organisatie, je creëert nieuwe kansen en weet deze te benutten. In deze rol is het belangrijk dat je ook veel bij de klanten en/of projecten bent, waardoor reisbereidheid aanwezig dient te zijn. Kuehne + Nagel is wereldwijd marktleider op het gebied van luchtvracht. Vanuit het warehouse in Schiphol-Rijk wordt met een team van zo’n 350 mensen dag en nacht hard gewerkt aan de import en export van een internationale goederenstroom. De divisie Air logistics is onderverdeeld in de business units General Cargo en Perishables (groenten, fruit, vis, bloemen). Voor het team van Business Development Air Logistics, dat zich bezighoudt met de import/export en transit van Perishables, zijn we op zoek naar een extra Business development manager in Schiphol met een 40 uren werkweek.

Je verantwoordelijkheden

Ontwikkelen van bestaande en nieuwe klanten om nieuwe business te genereren.  Binnenhalen van nieuwe klanten/business volgens overeengekomen targets, in samenwerking met het wereldwijde business development team.  Ervaring met market intelligence systemen zoals Euromonitor.  Vervullen van een accountmanagement functie voor belangrijke klanten, en ontwikkelen van sterke klantrelaties op basis van vertrouwen en respect.  Vertalen van industrietrends naar klanten en onze organisatie.  Ontwikkelen en implementeren van strategieën voor klantenwerving, en investeren in langdurige klantbinding.  Zorgen voor unieke en flexibele klantoplossingen in lijn met wetgeving en Kuehne+Nagel beleid.  Communiceren met- en coördineren van klantenservice en andere belanghebbenden.  Nauw samenwerken met het team om creatieve oplossingen te ontwikkelen en te presenteren. 

Jouw skills en ervaringen

Je hebt minimaal HBO werk- en denkniveau;  Je hebt een track record van minimaal 5 jaar in een soortgelijke positie en werkomgeving;  Je hebt kennis van Supply Chain Management en ervaring in een luchtvracht omgeving;  Je hebt commercieel inzicht, je ziet kansen en pakt deze ook;  Naast organisatiesensitief ben je ook pragmatisch met een hands on mentaliteit. Je beschikt hierbij over een sterke probleemoplossende vaardigheden, in combinatie met een oplossingsgerichte aanpak;  Je bent een communicatieve teamplayer met degelijke interpersoonlijke skills, die sterk organisatorisch is aangelegd en zelf een planning weet op te stellen alsook aan te houden; Goede beheersing van het Engels, in woord en geschrift is een must. Andere talen zijn een pré, met name Nederlands.
