Position Overview
The Senior Business Development Executive is a strategic role in the sales organization that directly interfaces with large Architecture, Engineering, Construction & Owner customers and their ecosystem supply chains consisting of both Public and Private asset owners, Governments, Industry Associations and the downstream supply chain. You will report to the Senior manager for EMEA and APAC.
This work falls into two broad categories, "fueling growth" with our largest named accounts through "actionable thought leadership" and "scaling growth" through business programs across industry sectors. The Business Development Executive influences the decision makers at our largest clients and with the owners of projects and puts Autodesk in the middle of our customers' supply chains, positively helping named accounts, mid-market, and territory clients.
This role identifies, develops, and executes business development programs supporting the sales organization's and the GTM needs. The focus for this role will be:
Direct 1:1 Customer Engagements (20% of time)
Engaging with our most strategic and influential customers to build relationships, credibility and influence of key senior customer decision makers, usually within the C-Suite,Identify & Promote Strategic Ecosystem Growth via Public Sector Mega-projects (80% of time)
Identify & qualify potential Public Sector mega-projects and opportunities to validate & articulate potential impact of strategic ecosystem wins, Develop, and scale industry ecosystem strategic engagements and mega-projects to drive growth via technology mandates, Collaborate with Autodesk teams, customers, owners, governments, industry associations and other relevant industry ecosystem stakeholders.Responsibilities
Influence customer business initiatives and influence our customers' decision-makers through actionable thought leadership Develops essential and effective relationships with executive-level / senior-level AEC customers and personas Develop ecosystem strategic programs at customers, owners, governments, AEC industries, and associations: run programs to influence the customers of our customers, and the supply chains of our customers Partner with Autodesk Industry Strategy, Product teams and Government Affairs teams and provides valuable information for mid & long-term strategyMinimum Qualifications
10+ years' experience working in the AECO industry + sales or business development experience Credible and highly experienced with business & technology trends in Autodesk target industries You have knowledge of typical customer pain points associated with the industry Is familiar with modern and agile processes in the AEC world and understands the asset lifecycle process from design to operations. Experience with technology trends in the AECO industry Experienced with, and able to present digital transformation and platform use cases You communicate at multiple levels of a client organization, including C level You are Team player with collaboration skills, able to bring people together You work toward continuous improvement through change management A track record in achieving results as part of a team Travel: 10 days / month on average#LI-SH1
