Financial Reporting Manager

A fast-growing business with strong focus on ESG & sustainability, with international operations, is searching for a hands-on and enthusiastic professional to be second in command to the Group Financial Controller and supporting the financial reporting activities for the non-UK entities. This position will have also support the Group consolidation, Group accounting policy and certain aspects of Group financial reporting.
Client Details
Our client has specialised in the production and supply of waste derived alternative materials for various industries. Thanks to our clients extensive knowledge and experience, many industries are benefiting from the materials our client produces and or supplies. It is one of the most innovative and pioneering companies in the field of waste derived alternative fuel production and supply and is leading the way to new concepts to substitute fossil fuels with non-recyclable paper and plastic waste fractions. In this way, their clients are able to massively save on their production costs and CO2 emissions. Since its founding, our client has also worked on supplying alternative raw materials, substituting primary materials, and contributing to cheaper and cleaner production processes.
Description
- Manage monthly, quarterly, yearly reporting process together with the regional teams outside of UK
- Liaise with reporting entities to ensure a timely and accurate close according to group policy, processes, systems and technical requirements
- Ensure integrity and appropriate understanding/analysis of business units/reporting entities submissions and overall consolidated figures
- Supporting in in development of Group Accounting Policy manual and standard operating procedures to be adopted by finance across the regions
- Ensure and support review of entities reporting package including audit deliverables with critical analysis is performed by the respective controlling/reporting teams
- Improving reporting processes and reporting systems
- Ensuring financial risks are mitigated and identified - maintaining balance sheet reconciliations, cash management etc.
- Specific accounting analysis and accounting issues documentation
- Supporting the legal entity and group audit with strong collaboration with external auditors
- Managing and delivering process improvement around key areas of cash management, order to cash (AR), procure to pay (AP & payments cycle), inventory and CAPEX.
- Leading the integration of new businesses outside of UK, streamlining and centralizing of finance processes
- Ad hoc projects as needed - IFRS transition, governance & compliance, ERP improvements, group chart of accounts.

Education & experience
- Bachelor and/or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Audit experience with Big 4 or Mid-tier firm is highly valued
- CIMA, CGMA, CPA or ACA designation is preferred
- 7 or more years professional experience required
- Dutch GAAP and IFRS experience
