All about the role
Fintech in JET is responsible for enabling all consumer payments, invoice generation for our partners, guarding integrity in the Financial domain through accounting and reconciliation and also pay out our partners at the end of this entire process. Within the payments area it is all about the consumer enablement to pay online with their trusted and favorable payment option. Whether it is for an online order with one of our many partners, a tip to our couriers or a subscription to discounts, we aim to make that journey as fast, convenient and safe as possible. As a Head of Engineering in the Fintech Pillar, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting the future of payments technology and will be reporting to the Director of Engineering Fintech. We are a fast moving and dynamic organization and are consolidating our technologies on all fronts to go even faster. You will lead an engineering organization within a global domain and will be accountable for facilitating and executing technical vision and strategy alongside pillar leadership, as well as ensuring platform operation, integrity, stability and consolidation. Leadership responsibilities include goal setting & measurement, hiring & retention, prioritization, culture development.

- You will be responsible for building and leading a high performing distributed engineering organization across a global domain. Capable of operating at scale, but also getting things done.
- Take responsibility for the development and performance management of leaders at different levels within your organization.
- You will be accountable for the technical aspects of your pillar’s roadmaps in alignment with the product team.
- You will ensure that the Payment technologies developed are compliant to required regulatory standards and continuously improve them aiming to keep things simple, yet effective.
- You will foster an engineering culture that is value-outcome-driven, promotes quality, agility and ownership.
- As our organization evolves you will be responsible be for driving and championing change within your domain to meet the needs of the pillar/ business
What will you bring to the table?
- Experience in building a strong engineering culture, creating high performing teams with an emphasis on quality and delivery.
- Experienced in coaching and mentoring - understanding how to help people to grow and how to play to their strengths
- Experience in guiding teams towards building secure, scalable solutions in line with global target architectures. Defining and building a way to get there without impacting the running operation.
- Experience in co-creating, communicating, and executing a technical strategy.
- Experience in leading people and teams through growth and change.
- Experience to communicate technical concepts/approaches to non technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with Product counterparts to lead an organization and achieve objectives.
- Knowledge on payment processing, payment gateways, fraud prevention and relevant compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS).
