Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits at the Park

Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Maurits at the Park opened in November 2022 and is a luxury 5-star hotel. The hotel is located in the green Oosterpark in Amsterdam Oost. Within a year and a half of its opening, the hotel has already won several prestigious awards. It achieved the number 1 position on TripAdvisor, surpassing more than 400 other hotels in Amsterdam.

In addition, Fitz's Bar was named Best New Cocktail Bar at the Entree Awards 2023 for its luxurious and carefully designed cocktail menu. The bar's team was praised for their originality and the sophistication of their creations. In addition, bar manager Nick Vrielink won gold at the World Cocktail Championship 2023 in Rome, where he showcased his talent with his signature cocktail 'Essence No. 5' and is currently a 3-time national champion.

VanOost Restaurant, the fine dining restaurant in the hotel, has also quickly established itself as a top culinary destination. Led by chef Floris van Straalen, the restaurant offers an innovative, globally inspired menu. It received rave reviews for its ambitious and sophisticated dishes, combined with an exquisite dining atmosphere in a space with 15-metre-high ceilings. VanOost is positioned to become one of the top eateries in Amsterdam. What are you going to do?

As Head Chef of the General Kitchen at Pillows Maurits at the Park, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the flawless execution of all culinary services beyond our signature restaurants. You'll oversee and elevate the quality of the following:

  • Banqueting for events and meetings
  • Breakfast service, offering guests the perfect start to their day
  • High-quality bites for Fitz's Bar
  • Staff meals, ensuring a motivated and energized team
  • Pastry production, adding finesse to every sweet creation
  • Room service, providing guests with an exceptional in-room dining experience

In this diverse and dynamic role, you'll collaborate closely with the F&B Director to maintain and surpass our high standards, working together to develop innovative concepts and refine processes. Your expertise in cuisine and leadership skills will inspire your team to deliver exceptional results, ensuring every dish is crafted with precision, creativity, and consistency.

You'll also work hand-in-hand with renowned chefs Floris van Straalen (VanOost Restaurant) and Luigi Di Benedetto (Spring Café Brasserie), forming a top-tier culinary team that embodies the ambition and excellence of Pillows Maurits at the Park.
