What you do as Global Sales Enablement Manager

The Global Sales Enablement Manager at Royal HaskoningDHV is tasked with establishing a robust sales enablement department that supports the growth of our business and the strength of our client relationships. This role encompasses the improvement of enabling commercial practices, development of key communication materials that will help the business teams to do their work, and collaboration with diverse teams to maintain a competitive advantage.

The manager will lead the development of sales enablement tools, ensuring they align with business needs and provide value to the teams. This involves creating a global strategic vision for sales enablement, staying abreast of industry trends, and serving as a strategic advisor to sales teams and executives via a pragmatic and data-driven approach. Additionally, the role includes managing supplier relationships, organizing best practice sharing, and training stakeholders on sales tools and methodologies.

Your core activities include:

  • Improving commercial way of working companywide with a pragmatic and data-driven approach (fi pricing/offering development)
  • Maintain and develop all key communication materials for Sales related enablement (internal)
  • Enhancing our sales enablement systems (like CRM, our Project Reference System etc) to improve usability and alignment with best practices.
  • Facilitation to conduct client satisfaction survey(s) effectively
  • Facilitating the design and execution of the account management program and sharing of in- and external best practices

As Global Sales Enablement Manager you are a servant leader who is not P&L responsible. The actual ownership of the P&L is in the business teams. Instead, your success is measured by the positive impact you make on proactively supporting the broader organization to drive growth. The Sales Enablement Manager leads the development in such a way that the business lines are happy with the given and supported activities, and they are valuable for the teams.

With your knowledge of sales processes and IT tools, your can-do mentality, and a good dose of enthusiasm, you will be working on different tasks and projects. In your daily work, you also are involved in:

CRM

  • Create a plan to accelerate penetration and frequency of usage of our CRM system by improving its ease of usage by looking at all angles: being aware, desire to use, knowledge to gain, ability to use and making sure we reinforce usage.
  • Utilize tools to analyze and optimize CRM insights company-wide, ensuring alignment with CRM best practices and implementation of improvements.
  • Advise the sales teams in our business lines on how to use CRM to optimize their sales processes and customer relations.
  • Stay updated with the latest CRM trends and changes to adapt strategies, accordingly, ensuring the company's usage remains competitive.
  • Engage in sales-related discussions with CRM development and customer journey experts to optimize strategies and implement changes that improve usage.

Client satisfaction surveys

  • Create a Royal HaskoningDHV approach on client satisfaction surveys on all elements: being aware of the instrument, desire to use, knowledge to gain, ability to use and making sure we reinforce usage and insights.
  • Work closely with our Marketing research team to conduct our client satisfaction surveys and share the most relevant insights companywide or business line specific.
  • Define optimal usage and frequency of client satisfaction surveys.
  • Define the best infrastructure to conduct and store insights out of these surveys.

PRS (Project Reference System) system

  • Periodical inventory of business needs on our PRS system (frequency of uploading, confidentiality levels, type of information, layout preferences, etc.)
  • Define a clear objective and governance system for the usage of the PRS system
  • Educating teams on usage and guidelines and support teams in case of reported issues or asked improvements
  • Creating solid project references in our PRS system to improve our best practice sharing per theme and per Business Line.

General

  • Creating a vision on what is needed on sales enablement to be successful in our commercial ways of doing things, this is also based on insights from external perspective
  • Being a challenger on working with Gen AI and creating efficiency improvements (member of Gen AI taskforce)
  • Supplier advice; make sure we select main suppliers who deliver innovative instruments, manage this relationship and control budgets where applicable as set in annual plans
  • Acting as a sparring partner for our Business Lines sales teams / Key Account Managers / CCO / CEO on sales-relevant topics
  • Acting as a sparring partner for your fellow specialists, engaging in decision-making discussions with experts in sales-related tools, working with the WPS (Workplace Solutions, which includes IT) department especially.
  • Set up a catalog with digital solutions and publish to our markets.

The sales enablement team consists of 3 professionals, with varied responsibilities like technical project management and administrative tasks. The team is part of the Corporate Group Brand, Marketing and Communications, collaborating with colleagues all over the globe providing innovative support and advice on sales enablement. The sales enablement team also works together with other Corporate Groups, such as the IT Department and HR.

As a Sales Enablement Manager, you are part of the Corporate Group Brand, Marketing, and Communications. You report to the director of Brand, Marketing and Communications, who reports directly to the CEO.

What do you bring?

You have a relevant bachelor's degree and have previous work experience in sales, with 10+ years of working experience that includes team management and setting and pursuing a sales vision/strategy. Furthermore you:

  • Have experience working as a project manager, pre in IT projects / CX experience.
  • Have a good feeling for user needs and excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Get things done and you improve the current status; a leader and positive challenger, experience with change management.
  • Are proactive, independent, and can work precisely.
  • Are confident and can hold your own in a complex, international organization and can communicate complex problems in an understandable way to your stakeholders.
  • Have experience in Sales tools like CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Have an analytical mindset and understand the assumptions and precautions included in reporting.
  • Have a good command of the English language.
