About this role:

The Global Grocery & Convenience team at Just Eat Takeaway (JET) is on a mission to grow this new vertical rapidly. With digital grocery and convenience as a fast growing market, this presents a strategic business opportunity, and we are determined to become the sector's leader. As the Global Key Account Manager , you play a critical role in achieving this ambition. This is a fast paced, highly motivated team driving a high impact strategic opportunity for the company. The Global Grocery & Convenience Team is on a mission to build a winning multi retail category convenience shopping proposition driving consumer satisfaction ensuring JET leadership in convenience retail. We do this by bringing JET's commerce and last mile next hour global delivery solutions to the best global and local Grocery & Convenience retailers.

As the new Global Key Account Manager, your role is divided into two main responsibilities: 1) Closing new partnerships and leading the global account management and 2) Driving the development of capabilities in categories eg. Bakery, Alcohol (tbd) and providing best practices to the 19 markets JET is present in. You will work cross functionally together with Tech, Marketing, Operations and Logistics teams to drive market leadership.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
  • Acquire, manage and develop partnerships, including sourcing, negotiating and developing international deals with major grocers and convenience partners across the globe;
  • Set JET up for long term success by developing a future proof consumer proposition in this new vertical through deep consumer understanding;
  • Meet and exceed sales goals through lead generating, prospecting, qualifying, managing, closing and implementing sales opportunities at retailers;
  • Create and implement effective category plans to deliver sales objectives considering market opportunities and platform capabilities, including P&L;
  • Act as global category lead establishing a centre of excellence, global frameworks and effective local market implementation of your categories;
  • Spearhead the development of scalable category capabilities that will enhance our market presence and support all JET markets;
  • Engage JET functions such as tech, marketing, operations and logistics to develop company capabilities improving the shopping and selling experience within this new vertical;
  • Communicate effectively with Senior Leadership at all levels ensuring they receive timely and relevant updates and facilitate decision-making.

What will you bring to the table?
  • Experience in sales/account manager at a senior level;
  • Proven expertise in retail, grocery, convenience or FMCG;
  • Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus;
  • Experience with Global organisations;
  • Strong experience partnering with sales leadership to achieve sales goals;
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • Ability to work constructively in a fast-paced, results-oriented, team environment;
  • Strong work ethic and passion for excellence.
