In this role, you will join the Continuous Improvement team of Philips Image Guided Therapy Systems (IGTS). In IGTS, we make interventional imaging equipment for healthcare professionals, which they use to save millions of lives every year. In IGTS we apply the Lean methodology to achieve end-to-end objectives like improving patient safety and quality, increasing innovation speed, improving service delivery, and growing sales. We also use Lean to remove waste in all parts of the business, like Research & Development, Quality & Regulatory, Marketing, and Customer Service, enabling our employees to create more value every year.

The IGTS Continuous Improvement (CI) team is a part of the Business, Process and Systems Excellence (BPSE) team. We are a mature, diverse and international team, and we play at the center of IGT Systems' business priorities. We are working on the most important strategic and operational goals of the business. We are responsible for solving complex business problems, often involving multiple functions and regions.

Your role
  • You will lead cross-functional teams to achieve our top business objectives, applying Lean concepts like Daily Management, Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen and Hoshin,
  • Together with business owners, you will define the current and future state processes needed to achieve our long-term strategic goals, and identify and lead (where applicable) improvement activities to achieve that future state,
  • You will deliver training and support in the field of Lean competence development. You will coach Hoshin, Daily Management, and Problem-Solving teams,
  • You will join in building an extraordinary Business, Process and Systems Excellence (BPSE) team by continuously improving our own skills and tools. You will coach and support your fellow team members.

You're the right fit if

  • You have minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in a global company with various cultural environments,
  • You have a track record in designing and implementing organizational and procedural changes in a cross-functional organization,
  • You have a track record in successful application of Lean / Continuous Improvement. You have diverse experience with Lean in non-Operations (e.g., Research & Development, Quality & Regulatory, Sales & Marketing and Customer Service).
  • You are able to provide in-depth training and coaching in Lean / Continuous Improvement (e.g., Daily Management, Problem Solving and Value Stream Mapping).
  • You have strong affinity with advanced technology, preferably in the medical domain,
  • You have excellent communication, change and stakeholders management skills being able to work with multiple levels of the organization. You are resilient and flexible.
