TECHNICAL SALES CONSULTANT - IT SECURITY


ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Consultant with a strong understanding of IT security systems to join our team. This role focuses on leveraging technical expertise to support sales efforts and deliver exceptional client solutions within the IT security domain.


As a Technical Sales Consultant, you will:

  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers (BDMs) to define solutions and projects tailored to client needs.
  • Present technical security solutions to prospective clients, demonstrating key features and value propositions.
  • Independently develop complex technical offers and proposals.
  • Assist the internal sales team in crafting versatile offers and strategies.
  • Provide technical support during product promotion efforts, answering client queries promptly and accurately.
  • Create and deliver product presentations, workshops, and training sessions for both internal teams and external clients.
  • Follow up on offers, working with the sales team to convert them into orders.
  • Maintain demo facilities and ensure product knowledge and certifications are up to date.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS


  • Fluent English communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication for engaging clients and stakeholders.
  • Technical understanding of IT security systems: Familiarity with security technologies from Cisco, Aruba, or Palo Alto.
  • Pre-sales expertise: Proven ability to support the sales process by providing technical insights and crafting compelling proposals.
  • Certification: Ideally holds certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security) or Aruba Certified ClearPass Expert (ACCX).
  • Collaboration and presentation skills: Comfortable supporting Business Development Managers (BDMs) in client meetings and delivering technical presentations.
  • Customer-focused approach: Skilled in understanding client requirements and translating them into tailored security solutions.


DESIRABLE SKILLS


  • Proficiency in Dutch and French
  • Familiarity with cloud-delivered security services (e.g., Cisco Umbrella, Aruba ClearPass).
  • Knowledge of IT security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001 or NIST.
  • Understanding of compliance and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Awareness of tools and concepts like data loss prevention, encryption standards, and SIEM.
