Overview:

We are recruiting for an Associate to join a leading private equity firm with a focus on investments in mid-sized companies across the Benelux and DACH regions. The ideal candidate will be a German speaker with a strong entrepreneurial mindset, a proactive approach to challenges, and a passion for driving value creation in small and medium-sized enterprises. This role offers a competitive salary package, including a bonus structure and carry eligibility after one year with the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive investment analysis, including financial modelling, due diligence, and valuation of target companies.
  • Collaborate with the deal team to execute investments, focusing on structuring and closing transactions efficiently.
  • Monitor portfolio companies, contributing to strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Conduct industry research to identify and assess potential investment opportunities within the Benelux and DACH regions.
  • Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively engage with management teams and industry advisors to support value creation plans.

Key Criteria / Competencies:

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Fluency in German and English is mandatory; additional European languages are a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong academic track record, with a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline from a top-tier institution.
  • Exceptional financial modelling and valuation skills, with the ability to develop detailed and robust models.
