Job Summary

We are looking to recruit an experienced Account Manager on behalf of a major client in the Netherlands , a world class leader in advanced electrical engineering and automation solutions.

With over 100 years on the market and a recognized reputation for excellence , our client is one of the most prominent companies in their field. As the business keeps growing, they are now looking to grow their team by adding a passionate and experienced Account Manager , with a background of Technical Sales (Electrical Engineering solutions) in the shipbuilding industry.

In this role you will advise customers in the field of on-board electrical installations and systems, power generation and distribution, automation, navigation and communication during the construction and life cycle of the vessel. Your focus will mainly be on Refit, Service and Spare Parts within the Dredging, Offshore & Transport and Marine segments.

As Account Manager, you have a mobile job. You will regularly visit different locations, mainly focus on the West of the Netherlands.

Please note that due to the urgency of the requirement, Dutch speaking candidates who reside in the Netherlands are preferred. Responsibilities of the role

  • commercial relationship builder and company representative, establishing new relationships and building on existing ones
  • Business Development, sales and account management
  • advise our customers in the field of on-board electrical installations and systems, power generation and distribution, automation, navigation and communication during the construction and life cycle of the vessel
  • your focus will mainly be on Refit, Service and Spare Parts within the Dredging, Offshore & Transport and Marine segments
  • working with your colleague product specialist to inform customers about the latest developments in hybrid and/or fully electric boating
  • shipyard visits and client visits

Experience and qualifications

  • 5 + years of work experience in a maritime technical organization - shipbuilding would be a significant plus, in a Sales, Account Management, Business Development position or similar
  • relevant experience in Technical Sales - Electrical Engineering solutions would be preferred
  • HBO level electrical engineering / electronics, SWTK or similar or equivalent experience in Electrical/Electrotechnical sales roles
  • solid knowledge of technical concepts of the Electrical engineering side, with the ability to support technical proposals
  • experience acting as an interface between costumers and internal Technical departments
