YOUR TASKS
Manage the team of Logistics Engineers of around 10 team members.
You and your team are responsible for the development and realization of best-in-class warehouse solutions for new business opportunities and large redesigns of our existing warehouse operations.
Listening to and understanding complex customer needs to advise the customers, internal teams, and management on the best logistic solutions.
Setting and maintaining standards; developing the engineering toolkit.
Developing and maintaining relationships at all levels within the organization (both nationally and internationally) to become a trusted (technical) solutions advisor for internal and external customers, working closely with stakeholders to determine priorities and roadmap.
Drive innovation and mechanization solutions in our warehouses by continuously monitoring the market to identify new opportunities and gain competitive advantages. Participate in the purchase process of warehouse equipment.
You will report to the Director Logistics Engineering.
YOUR PROFILE
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Logistics, (Technical) Business Administration or (Industrial) Engineering;
Self-driven, with a measured persistence based on a hunger to succeed and grow with your team and the customer;
**Strong communication skills**: you are passionate about simplifying complex technical solutions for our internal and external stakeholders;
**Interpersonal intelligence**: In addition to solid communication skills, it is also of importance to possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively inspire and lead the people you work with. From customers to stakeholders, you get others on board with your innovative vision;
Analytic mastermind; You are able to analyze and use data to make strategic decisions (also financially);
You regularly perform extensive market research to determine what our consumers need as well as where competitors stands in relation to our organization.
You know your way through the systems (Excel, SAP, AutoCAD, PowerBI);
Preferably experience with large scale warehouse automation, like Autostore and shuttle systems
Ability to communicate in English language (written and oral), Dutch would be beneficial.
