We are looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our dynamic team as a **Transport Manager**. As a Transport Manager, you will play a key role in leading and optimizing the transport department, striving for continuous improvement and increased efficiency in logistics management. Your focus will be on driving progress within the department while maintaining high standards of service delivery.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and improve the entire transportation process, ensuring efficient management and delivery of services.
- Develop, implement, and assess transportation programs, processes, and tools to create effective solutions in logistics.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and coordination throughout the shipping and scheduling process.
- Optimize transportation routes and backhaul coordination to maximize revenue for each load.
- Negotiate pricing with carriers and stakeholders, leveraging your understanding of national and international transportation pricing within the logistics industry.
- Manage and process orders through the Transport Management System (TMS), ensuring accurate scheduling and documentation.
- Coordinate logistics activities, including receiving documents, confirming data, uploading necessary files, and ensuring compliance with all requirements.
- Provide clear communication with internal teams, customers, carriers, and vendors to ensure all shipments are tracked and completed efficiently.
- Oversee billing and reporting related to shipments and transportation status.

**Qualifications**:

- Fluent English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Authorized to work legally in the Netherlands.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a transport management or similar role.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing teams or leading projects.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in using a PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to take a strategic overview of the transportation department, proactively identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Highly enterprising, result-oriented, meticulous, and numerically skilled.
- Capable of managing stress and performing well in a fast-paced, diverse environment.
- Willing to learn, go the extra mile, and continuously seek better ways of doing things.
