VARO Energy is a dynamic, fast developing, integrated European downstream company launched in 2012. Renewables already contribute half of our total annual result and we are looking to expand further in this area. Leveraging our knowledge in the renewables space will not only allow us to make a positive contribution to the energy transition, it will also enable us to further grow our market share. We will do so via our strong marketing organization with activities in wholesale, retail and end-consumer deliveries. In combination with our sophisticated supply & trading and biofuels organization, we excel at unlocking value from our Integrated Fuels Value Chains (FVCs).

**THE POSITION**

We are looking for a Renewables Accounting Employee to join the Renewables Compliance Team of VARO in Rotterdam. In this role you are responsible for the administration of sustainable specific information and documentation relating to biofuel transactions. This involves both qualitative and quantitively aspects (non-financial). In this context you bring an important contribution to VARO’s compliance with the obligations under the legislation regarding the incorporation of renewable energy in fuels.

In this role you will be trained to become an experienced Renewables Compliance Employee with matching responsibilities. You will join a experienced Renewables Accounting team and report to the Renewables Compliance Officer Benelux as part of the Renewables Compliance team which is represented in VARO offices in Rotterdam Netherlands and Hamburg Germany.

**YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assessing the conformity of received sustainability documentation to regulatory requirements, commercial agreements and physical receipt of the biofuel;
- Preparing and issuing of sustainable documentation to customers;
- Follow-up correct and timely receipt and issuing of sustainable documentation.;
- Updating biofuel administrations with incoming and outgoing sustainability documentation. The content of these documents is based on the regulatory requirements and the internal procedures adopted;
- Maintain contact with biofuel suppliers and customers which VARO engages business with related to sustainability documentation;
- Maintain contact various departments with VARO’s organization with regard to complete, timely and correct receipt of sustainable documentation;
- Issuing of sustainable documentation to national authorities needed for periodic declarations.

**YOUR PROFILE**
- A Bachelor's degree;
- Starter or up to 2 years of work experience;
- Must have an affinity or interest in learning MS office and ERP systems;
- Affinity or a demonstrated interest in sustainability;
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbally, German, Dutch and/or French language skills are considered to be an advantage.
