**WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**
We are seeking a visionary Sales Director with the drive to lead and expand our commercial efforts.
Ideally, you bring:
- ** Leadership Experience**
A proven track record in leading and building sales teams, with strong motivational and strategic skills.
- ** Industry Knowledge**
Familiarity with biotech or pharma is a plus, but not a must. What matters most is your ability to understand our market and bring innovative technology to customers.
- ** Growth Mindset**
We are transitioning from academic customers to industrial markets. Your expertise will help us seize this greenfield opportunity, scaling sales and building partnerships in untapped territories.
- ** Entrepreneurial Spirit**
Working closely with the CEO and as part of the Management Team, you will help define and execute strategies that position Optics11 Life as a leader in the industry.
**KEY ACTIVITIES**
- Leading the Commercial team, consisting of Sales Specialists and Field Application Specialists. The Commercial team is
currently located across Europe and US and expanding through distributors in other regions;
- Develop a high-performing sales team by providing training, coaching, and mentorship to Sales Specialists;
- Define and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth through direct and indirect channels;
- Define and optimize the commercial strategy (go to market, organizational structures, international expansion strategy, etc.);
- Monitor and manage the sales funnel, ensuring that key activities are executed to move prospects through the sales cycle;
- Ensure FAS support in consultative selling is optimally organized and deployed;
- Analyze sales data and maintain accurate forecast information to support strategic decision-making;
- Attend and represent the company at trade shows, seminars, user meetings, and other customer events;
- Facilitate collaboration and coordination with other departments to ensure customer success throughout the customer lifecycle;
- Provide regular updates to the CEO and senior stakeholders on sales performance and market trends;
- Represent the commercial domain in the Management Team.
**SKILLS & COMPETENCIES**
- Proven experience in building and leading a sales team, preferably in the Life Science industry for research capital equipment;
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth;
- Prior experience with market entry and market making is considered a strong plus, preferably in a scale-up organization;
- Excellent management and people skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team;
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions;
- Strong communication and presentation skills;
- An advanced degree in Life Science or Biomedical Science is considered a plus;
- Willingness to travel as required;
- Preferably Netherlands based.
