**Your new challenge**:
CC7 Europe is looking for consecutive **Chinese/English interpreter and written translator** to support the organization as whole (incl. various department such as Engineering and Supply Chain) in corporate communication. This will include the ability to read, comprehend and translate Chinese dictation, conversations and ideas into the English language, while retaining the core ideas, meaning and information from the original source. The Chinese Translator directly reports to the COO.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Provides consecutive interpretation support, on occasion whispering
- Participates in analytical meetings or conferences when applicable, to capture and translate meaning and conceptualize this into the English language
- Translates Chinese intermediate to advanced level printed materials including technical scripts and Chinese into good grammatical English
- Prepares and updates a Chinese/English glossary
- Provides quality control of transcribed and translated Chinese material
- Scans intercepted data and determined as pertinent or non-pertinent to mission requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent five years of relevant experience as a translator in similar function
- Verbal, written and understanding of both the Chinese language as well as the English
- Professional personal presentation and adaptability skills, so to be able to both languages, business environments and cultures
- Give attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
- Solid understanding of the Chinese culture and intricacies that are to be taken into account when translating communication.
- Preferred advantage with relevant translation experience in oil&gas, chemistry, engineering, finance and accounting, high level exchange meetings, human resources, etc
