Solarplaza is a global leading organizer of high-level international solar energy and storage conferences around the world. We offer knowledge and networking solutions for the renewable energy industry in both established and emerging markets across the globe. With 40+ young professionals from 15 different countries, we work to accelerate the energy transition from our Rotterdam office. Over the past 20 years, we have built a global network with the aim of positively impacting the world by accelerating the transition to renewable energy.

**Your role and mission**
- You will be a spill in the global energy transition, by defining, planning and executing high-quality events in the Solar industry.
- You will be in charge of preparing the business cases of our conferences, manage dedicated budgets and targets.
- You will define the look and feel of the conference and are responsible for the overall quality of the program, the speakers and presentations/panels for each session.
- You will coordinate the project team working on each conference, and collaborate closely with our Event Coordinators, Marketeers and Business Developers.
- You research and detect the new trends in Solar Energy and Energy Storage, and organise your events based on relevant new information.
- You love connecting and talking to (new) market stakeholders, our Advisory Board Members, increasing your network, and building relationships.
- You can listen and quickly follow the discussion on topics you may not be fully familiar with but your curiosity and sense of investigation make you ask the right questions and quickly find out potential for a conference program or potential speakers.
- You are able to manage stakeholders, markets and topics for several events in parallel

**What we expect from you**
- A Bachelor's degree in a field like event management and/or sustainability, renewable energy.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in Project or Event Management.
- You are curious and passionate about renewable energy and energy transition and it would be a plus if you already have experience in this work field.
- You love working in an international environment, which also includes travelling (up to 30% of your time).
- You enjoy working in a multicultural context, communicating primarily in English (+ other languages) and working - both internally and externally - with people from different (business) cultures.
- You know how to manage work in a fast paced environment, with regular deadlines and you can remain calm under pressure.
- You are structured and a great organizer or time manager of projects/events.
- You live from a travelling distance to Rotterdam or you’re willing to relocate and have a valid work permit.

- An added plus: you like moderating, presenting or chairing an event yourself

- 28 days of paid leave per full working year (based on full-time employment).
