About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team at the Mall of the Netherlands. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the store teams to generate sales, profit, minimize losses, and create the best possible customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the store teams to achieve sales, profit, and customer experience goals
- Identify opportunities to grow the business and improve performance
- Maintain corporate visual merchandising directives and standards for sales floor and back room
- Work with the visual merchandising team to ensure clear communication and understanding between VM and store teams
- Partner with store management team to build on business opportunities and achieve company standards and objectives
- Focus staff on the importance of quality relationships with internal and external customers
- Complete daily/weekly store walkthroughs to evaluate product performance, pricing, staff service levels, and inventory levels
- Communicate with the Store Manager on sales drivers and discuss any issues/priorities to develop strategies to maximize business
- Analyze store level reports and create action plans to improve results
- Assist with manpower planning, identification, recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes
- Work with the Store Manager to build bench strength for key positions, including possible successors
- Participate in weekly management meetings and other staff meetings
- Clearly communicate to staff store and individual sales goals and other key performance expectations
Requirements
- Previous track record of supervisory or specialist roles within a premium or luxury brand
- Effective communicator with the ability to cultivate belonging
- Collaborative team player who recognizes and celebrates the contributions and achievements of others
- Courageous in giving feedback that promotes positive behavioral change
- Adaptable and able to work with pace
- Energetic and inspiring leader who shows a clear presence on the shop floor
- Approach all issues with a 'can do' attitude and make informed decisions to find in-store solutions
