Your Role in the Energy Transition

TenneT is driving the energy transition forward, and we are looking for a passionate colleague to contribute to this effort. As an Operating Engineer, you will play a key role in our success by developing concepts and processes to prepare for the operational phase of the 2GW Grid Connection Systems.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • You will ensure that operational requirements are taken into account and safeguard that existing maintenance strategies can be applied or adapted as required to ensure the long-term availability and technical integrity of the facilities.
  • You will be responsible for quality improvements or process optimizations, capturing and reviewing lessons learned, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our Operational Readiness Framework.
  • You will actively contribute to a safe and healthy working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Your Profile and Background

  • You are an intrinsically motivated personality who appreciates working in a dynamic, diverse, and international team. As a fast-learning team player, you contribute to exceptional team cohesion and demonstrate strong coordination and planning skills.
  • You have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Energy Technology, or a related field, or a comparable educational qualification in the fields of Instrumentation & Control or Industrial Automation and relevant professional experience, preferably in the field of offshore operations & maintenance (Oil & Gas or renewables).
  • You have strong operational experience with Control & Protection systems, including AC and HVDC systems, and a thorough understanding of substation automation protocols.
  • You are willing to work across locations and countries, with occasional travel in North-West Europe, and have a driving license.
  • You have good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and/or English.

Requirements

  • Medical suitability for potential offshore assignments as well as fitness for working at heights is required.
