Software Engineering Specialist for Computer Aided Design

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineering Specialist for Computer Aided Design to support our engineering functionalities in our Computer Aided Design platform, with a special focus on Cadmatic, across the product lifecycle process. As a Functional Application Specialist, you will drive efficiency and effectiveness across our engineering processes, making a tangible impact on our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate engineering business needs into functional specifications for application developments.
  • Analyse issues collaboratively with stakeholders and devise solutions.
  • Develop and implement application processes and functionalities.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and knowledge partners.
  • Manage interfaces between applications and Cadmatic.
  • Maintain user access rights administration within the application.
  • Setup and configure project environments within Cadmatic.
  • Organize application-related training courses in coordination with the Manager Engineering Support.
  • Provide functional support to PLM/CAD users with regards to Cadmatic.
  • Prepare and develop CADMATIC training materials, tips, application documentation, and user manuals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, preferably in shipbuilding or mechanical engineering.
  • Proficiency with Cadmatic platform, ideally also affinity with CATIA and the 3DExperience platform (Dassault Systemes).
  • Knowledge of PLM principles and experience with functional application management.
  • Excellent command of the English language, with proficiency in Dutch being advantageous.
  • Ability to work in Vlissingen and Schiedam locations, in The Netherlands.
  • Excellent references and antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required and candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
