Department: Project Development Office, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advisor Research Funding to join our team in the Project Development Office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for acquiring research funding and developing new projects. You will work closely with researchers, support staff, and other departments to identify and pursue funding opportunities, develop project proposals, and manage project development and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue research funding opportunities, including national and European funding programs
- Develop and manage project proposals, including budgeting, grant writing, and contract negotiations
- Work closely with researchers to develop and articulate research ideas, approaches, and impact
- Support the administrative side of project development, including grant rules, budgeting, and contract management
- Contribute to a central administration of project applications, management information, and project case files
Requirements:
- Proven expertise and experience in acquiring research funding and developing new projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with researchers, support staff, and other departments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and pursue funding opportunities
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of the current and future developments in the National and European funding landscape

Conditions of Employment:
We offer a full-time employment position with a gross monthly salary in the range of € 4,492 and € 5,439, depending on your education and experience. An appointment of 0.8 fte (32 hpw) is also an option. Hybrid on-campus/working from home is possible. Besides that, we offer an annual holiday allowance of 8%, an annual end of the year allowance of 8.3%, a total of 41 days of holiday leave, and a broad package of fringe benefits.
