Job Description

Job Title: Power System Advisor

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Power System Advisor to join our team at TenneT. As a Power System Advisor, you will be responsible for continuously improving effective, efficient, and reliable solutions for grid simulation processes and policies within the System Operation department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and elaborate complex assignments in accordance with the wishes of clients
  • Provide solutions to assignments and describe these results within the applications and network models used in the SOP department
  • Optimize, advise, and provide guidance for managing, monitoring, and developing the network models and the assumptions therein for EMS and any other network calculation tools
  • Contribute to increasing knowledge within and outside the team
  • Responsible for transferring the assignment results, its description, and coordinating them with the Functional Application Manager
  • Write down change proposals and coordinate the development of these changes
  • Ensure that Functional Application Managers have an adequate level of knowledge with the advised solution
  • Participate in projects where innovation and complex changes of new processes/procedures have to be elaborated

Requirements:

  • University degree in Electrical Power Engineering
  • Experience and skills in handling computer models and gained experience in using the resulted data (e.g., EMS, Power Factory, etc.)
  • Knowledge of and affinity with high-voltage grids
  • Team player with strong communication and social skills, and excel at sharing knowledge with others
  • Knowledge of multiple disciplines or policy areas in the energy sector is an advantage
  • Analytical, driven, proactive, result-oriented, and stress-resistant
  • Proficient in English and Dutch, both written and spoken
