Job Overview

The Software Improvement Group (SIG) is a leading global technology and consultancy organization dedicated to providing independent software quality assurance solutions. Our mission is to enhance the software development landscape by empowering developers and their organizations to produce superior software. In line with our ambitious growth objectives, we are seeking a B2B Growth Marketer who prioritizes customer feedback to inform our proposition roadmap effectively.

Your Role
As a member of the Agile Proposition Team, you will be part of a newly formed cross-functional group responsible for the research, development, and delivery of comprehensive propositions at SIG. Operating in a dynamic market filled with uncertainties, we employ agile methodologies to generate value for our customers and prospects. In your role as a B2B Growth Marketer, you will leverage design thinking and lean startup principles to conduct persona-based research, test hypotheses, and learn from our findings.

You will focus on personas such as Enterprise Architects, CIOs, Product Owners, and developers, striving to enhance their effectiveness and efficiency. Utilizing both qualitative and quantitative approaches, you will gather insights to guide decision-making. Our goal is to fail fast and explore our growth potential. As this methodology is relatively new to SIG, you will take the lead in facilitating collaboration among colleagues on innovative propositions.

Collaboration and Responsibilities

In your capacity as a validation expert, you will be part of a dedicated team of six skilled professionals across various disciplines within SIG. While you will be fully committed to this team, other members will contribute part-time. Your collaboration will extend to UX, sales, application development, consultancy, product management, the SIG academy, customer success, and service management.

You should be passionate about developing propositions and services that create significant value for both customers and SIG. A customer-centric mindset combined with an analytical and data-driven approach is essential. You will be expected to conduct valid experiments, showcasing your creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Additionally, you should align with the following criteria:

Collect and analyze data to validate early-stage propositions, transforming assumptions into assets for evidence-based decision-making, including establishing and managing key validation metrics and reporting insights. Organize fact-based feedback, both qualitative and quantitative, to prioritize areas for improvement. Assess and select appropriate digital channels and platforms for our key personas. Create and validate content for MVPs and comprehensive end-to-end propositions. Translate insights and learnings into go-to-market deliverables for sales and marketing. Mentor team members in Agile and lean startup methodologies. Conduct customer research to inform strategic thinking, identify problems worth solving, and develop personas and customer journeys. Stay informed about the latest innovation trends and techniques, such as design thinking and lean startup, and translate these into actionable insights for SIG.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a minimum of four years of relevant experience, including:

A proven track record in utilizing innovation metrics and validation methodologies for early-stage propositions, both online and offline. A deep understanding of user experience expectations, ownership of the jobs to be done, and a thorough grasp of customer problems and needs. The ability to integrate quantitative and qualitative insights to identify market needs and opportunities. Experience in customer development, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and behaviors through professional interview and research techniques. Proficiency in designing hypothesis tests for digital content to significantly enhance awareness and conversion rates, preferably in a B2B context. Familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including user interviews, surveys, prototyping user flows, experiment design, conversion optimization, rapid MVP development, and usability testing. Experience with acquisition channels/tools such as LinkedIn, Salesforce, Slack, Google Ads, SEO, SEA, and referrals, from setup to data analysis. Competence in tracking and analytics, including measurement plans, event tracking, and GA dashboards. A general understanding of growth metrics and tools. Experience with innovation methodologies and principles, particularly lean startup, and the ability to apply these within collaborative teams. Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with a proven ability to measure and analyze data. Proficiency in both Dutch and English is essential. Experience working within a Scrum framework in an agile team.

General innovation skills are preferred, as well as experience in:

Facilitating Google Sprint and/or Design Thinking processes. Collaborating in multidisciplinary teams focused on end-to-end propositions, considering both the buyer journey and user journey. Serving as a Scrum Master.
