Key Account Manager - Aerospace Global Account Program

Are you a seasoned account manager with a passion for the Aerospace industry? Do you have excellent communication skills and a proven track record in building strong relationships with customers? We're looking for a talented Key Account Manager to join our team at Kuehne+Nagel.

Your Role

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key accounts in the Aerospace industry. Your primary objective will be to develop and maintain strong relationships with these customers, understanding their needs and preferences, and identifying opportunities to grow our business together.

Your Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts in the Aerospace industry, identifying customer needs and developing strategies to meet those needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, including decision-makers and influencers.
  • Negotiate rates and service contracts with customers, ensuring alignment with business unit and functional unit goals.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, using this knowledge to inform your account management strategies.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including pipeline, wins, losses, and financial metrics.
  • Develop and maintain account plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Effectively hand over and transition new business into operations, ensuring customer requirements are met.
  • Conduct regular review sessions with assigned customers, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Demonstrable experience in account management, preferably in the logistics industry or a relevant vertical sector.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to drive key account initiatives across geographies.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Aerospace industry, including its trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Strategic and growth mindset, with a passion for developing effective, long-term solutions for customers.
  • Ability to communicate credibly and effectively at all levels, including with senior stakeholders.
