Digital Methods & Tools DepartmentWe drive the energy transition industry towards a digital future, covering three main areas of action: delivering digital requirements on EPC projects, creating new business opportunities from digitalization, and leading execution and operational excellence.
About the RoleWe are seeking an Engineering Applications Administrator to perform all necessary activities related to engineering applications used in our engineering workflow. This involves setting up and configuring engineering applications according to project requirements and our standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely maintenance and update of the engineering database and tools
- Provide operational support to the engineering group in the use of tools
- Review customer applications and systems requirements and incorporate them into project-related applications
- Prepare hours estimates and detailed planning of own work
- Report changes affecting manpower and schedule through the CN procedure and follow up on Department and Project Manager's approval
- Report status, progress, and manpower forecast to the project manager and departmental manager
- Incorporate lessons learned, if concerning modification to engineering applications
- Issue regular reports to Project management and Client
- Represent Technip Netherlands and manage relationships with external stakeholders like suppliers and customers, and internal stakeholders, other departments, and Technip entities
We are looking for a candidate with a BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical or Information Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of significant experience in the field of expertise. You should have knowledge of engineering applications generally applied in the petrochemical engineering business, such as Smart Plant and AVEVA applications, and other CAD software.
Other relevant skills include knowledge of CAD/CAE related information management systems, specifically Oracle, programming skills in software systems, such as Visual Basic, SQL, and familiarity with engineering execution practices applied in the petrochemical engineering business.
