Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Procurement/Supplier Quality department in Papendrecht. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring the quality performance of suppliers and initiating actions to ensure continuous compliance. Your expertise will be crucial in managing supplier quality performance issues, serving as a liaison for suppliers, and facilitating supplier on structural quality and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regularly monitor supplier quality performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze and report supplier quality performance data to inform decision-making.
  • Communicate and review supplier non-conformance and escapes, including root cause investigation, containment, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Lead and participate in internal meetings to address supplier process non-conformance.
  • Implement risk mitigation activities and process control systems at the supplier level to prevent non-conformance.
  • Develop and propose improvements to the business management system to enhance the Supplier Quality organization within GKN Aerospace - Fokker Elmo.
Requirements
  • More than 4 years of experience in engineering/production, preferably in working with suppliers in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of wiring – electrical products, processes, technologies, and quality requirements, with a preference for aerospace experience (AS9100).
  • Skilled in quality systems, tools, and methods, with the ability to teach and facilitate continuous improvement team events.
  • Well-organized and structured, with strong skills to work independently and in a team, handle pressure, and achieve effective results.
  • Target-oriented and outgoing, with good communication and presentation skills (fluent in English, spoken and written), and tactful and diplomatic in approach.
  • Experience and skilled with Microsoft Office apps, including analyzing using MS Excel and/or Access.
