Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

GKN Aerospace is a leading global supplier of advanced aerospace systems and components. We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Procurement/Supplier Quality department in Papendrecht.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the quality performance of suppliers and initiating actions to address any issues. This will involve frequent contact with suppliers, analyzing and reporting quality performance, and communicating non-conformance and escapes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality systems, tools, and methods, and be able to teach and facilitate continuous improvement team events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor supplier quality performance and initiate actions to address any issues
  • Analyze and report supplier quality performance and identify improvement areas
  • Communicate and review supplier non-conformance and escapes
  • Lead and participate in internal meetings to address supplier process non-conformance
  • Manage implementation of risk mitigation activities and process control systems at supplier
  • Define and propose improvements to the business management system to improve the Supplier Quality organization
Requirements
  • More than 4 years' experience in engineering/production, preferably in working with suppliers in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledgeable in wiring – electrical products, processes, technologies, and quality requirements
  • Skilled in quality systems, tools, and methods, and able to teach and facilitate continuous improvement team events
  • Well-organized and structured with strong skills to work both independently and in a team
  • Target-oriented and outgoing with good communication and presentation skills
