Job Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled PhD candidate to contribute to the development of novel techniques for computer-aided diagnosis of movement disorders using patient data from sources such as video, electromyography, accelerometers, and fMRI and FDG-PET brain scans.

In this role, you will be responsible for research and development of feature selection tools and classifiers for resting state and task-fMRI data. Your goal will be twofold: to help us better understand the underlying brain mechanisms of hyperkinetic movement disorders and create insightful models that aid movement disorder experts in classifying these disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and develop feature selection tools and classifiers for resting state and task-fMRI data
  • Participate in the scientific dissemination of project results via journal and conference publications
  • Pioneer the integration of computational innovation into clinical application, significantly impacting medical diagnostics
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A strong background in machine learning, neuroimaging, and clinical research
  • Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python or MATLAB
  • Experience with fMRI and FDG-PET data analysis
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
