Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead our team on a large, complex data center project in Groningen. As a Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for managing the commissioning process on behalf of our project management and consultancy team.
This role includes travel within the EU for off-site factory testing and witnessing. You will work closely with other business functions across projects to ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and budget requirements.
The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in industrial equipment and systems commissioning and management. They should be proficient in mechanical and electrical equipment and systems, familiar with control systems for critical infrastructures, and experienced in quality control and verification.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily/weekly commissioning meetings with internal stakeholders, vendors, and clients.
- Manage, deliver, and obtain approval on relevant project commissioning documents, such as test scripts and compliance statements.
- Ensure receipt, review, and compliance of project commissioning documentation to achieve necessary sign-offs.
- Manage the commissioning schedule and oversee the installation of new equipment, systems, and facilities.
- Supervise a team of commissioning engineers and vendors, inspect and verify correct functioning of electrical, mechanical, and environmental control systems.
- Conduct tests to ensure operational efficacy and prepare/deliver commissioning reports, progress, issues log, and risks.
- Manage close-out of commissioning risks and issues with contractors and vendors.
- Verify integrity and performance of critical systems and approve finalization of the project based on successful testing.
Qualifications
- 10 years' experience in industrial equipment and systems commissioning and management.
- Proficient in mechanical and electrical equipment and systems.
- Familiarity with control systems for critical infrastructures.
- Experienced in quality control and verification.
- Familiarity with Google Drive and email.
- Must have a 'team attitude', be self-motivated, and willing to support other groups and projects when required.
- Influencing skills, strong communication skills, and ability to manage expectations, influence change, and report/update accurately on progress.
