Job Title: Freelance Translator

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Translator to join our team at the International Criminal Court (ICC). The successful candidate will be responsible for translating documents from Modern Hebrew to English, working on a freelance basis.

Job Summary

The Freelance Translator will be responsible for producing high-quality translations, consulting with the LSU Translation Team, and applying feedback to ensure delivery of a quality product. The ideal candidate will have a high-level proficiency in Modern Hebrew and English, as well as experience using word-processing software and extranets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate documents from Modern Hebrew to English, adhering to LSU guidelines, glossaries, and established terminology.
  • Consult with the LSU Translation Team to clarify ambiguities, build glossaries, and provide feedback.
  • Apply feedback provided by the LSU Translation Team to ensure delivery of a quality product.
Requirements
  • High-level proficiency in Modern Hebrew and English.
  • Experience using word-processing software and extranets.
  • Strong IT skills, including with CAT tools.
  • Excellent eye for detail, accuracy, style, and usage.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
What We Offer

Accredited translators on the roster will be contacted for work assignments based on their acceptance of the applicable rates and terms and conditions, their availability, and their suitability for a particular project based on their profile and experience, as well as information security constraints.
