Data Solutions Specialist

As a Data Solutions Specialist at Avery Dennison, you will play a vital role in supporting and maintaining our relationships with retailers and brand customers. This involves managing and maintaining our customers' variable data for printed labelling, including price/size tags, care labels, and content labels with RFID and brand protection solutions.
You will work closely with global production locations, IT teams, and automation specialists to ensure the smooth operation and improvement of online ordering, production, and information solutions.
Additionally, you will collaborate with colleagues from our commercial organisation to develop and satisfy our customers' needs and requirements.
Some of your key activities will include:
- Providing guidance to customers on optimal solutions, preparing Statement of Work documentation, and defining functional and data requirements for programme design, schedule, and implementation.
- Investigating and resolving customer and production issues through the use of systems or communication with production sites and various support teams.
- Leading calls with IT, Commercial, and Operations teams to ensure all requirements are understood and fulfilled.
- Working together with internal teams to implement solutions and amendments using agreed tools, systems, and processes.
- Performing User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Building and maintaining data information in our internal systems and online ordering solution.
- Collaborating with Operations teams and providing training to enable effective rollout and ongoing troubleshooting to resolve issues.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong interest in information technology solutions and data analysis, including a knowledge of spreadsheet software and database creation.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, an investigative mindset, and a keenness to resolve and find the causes of problems.
- A highly motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic personality with an ability to establish and maintain good relationships both internally and with our customers.
- Commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and the capacity to be highly organised and work independently while coordinating multiple projects to completion against tight deadlines.
- Exceptional spoken and written communication skills and an enthusiastic attitude towards presenting both internally and to customers.
- Commercial education, a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent knowledge gained through work experience.
- Fluent English is mandatory. Other languages are an advantage.
- A willingness to be flexible towards working hours and occasional off-site travel.
