Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled (Data) Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development of our groundbreaking rapid antibiotic susceptibility testing device, KAIROS IVD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for generating and developing new data analysis tools and algorithms to inform and accelerate diagnostic product development.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct R&D: Contribute to the generation of relevant data used as input to algorithms.
- Data Analysis: Lead the analysis of large and complex datasets, including clinical data and reference data generated from diagnostic assays.
- Algorithm Development: Train, develop, and refine algorithms and models for data analysis, interpretation, and predictive analytics.
- Feature Engineering: Identify and engineer relevant features from raw data to enhance the performance and accuracy of predictive models.
- Model Validation: Validate predictive models and algorithms using appropriate validation techniques.
- Data Visualization: Create clear and informative data visualizations to communicate results and insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Master's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2 years' experience in a similar function.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Familiarity with data management and preprocessing techniques.
- Machine Learning: Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and algorithms.
- Ability to create clear and informative data visualizations.
- Fluency in English.
- Openness to learn about performing experimental work in a laboratory environment and with bacteria.
