Job Title: Senior Banking Specialist

As a Senior Banking Specialist at Booking.com, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's global banking capabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the development and evolution of our banking solutions, ensuring seamless cash collection and payment processes across various countries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cash collection products within target countries, including Direct Debit and Virtual accounts.
  • Present business cases to banking regulators to obtain necessary permits and approvals for payment solutions.
  • Collaborate with payment providers to design new solutions that meet the company's needs.
  • Create ROI business cases to successfully implement diverse products driving business growth.
  • Effectively manage BAU banking issues and queries, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of seniority.
  • Create and maintain core-banking relationships, balancing optimal financial value with service delivery.
  • Identify and implement best market practices and solutions for both partners and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations, as well as adherence to our tax policy.
  • Identify areas of improvement and influence stakeholders in the implementation of new processes or modification of current processes.
Requirements:
  • Mastery in banking products and cash management solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of finance technology and infrastructure, as well as in-country regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong work ethic, self-directed, and resourceful.
  • Solution-oriented and result-driven, with a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to conduct and conclude highly technical discussions and agreements.
  • Spanish language proficiency is an advantage.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, and prior experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships.
  • Able to adapt style and approach to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders from diverse cultures.
