About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Banking Specialist to join our Treasury team at Booking.com. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our global collections and payables needs in a predetermined geographic area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the development and evolution of our global banking capabilities by identifying and deploying suitable cash collection products within target countries.
  • Present business cases to banking regulators in different countries to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Work closely with payment providers to design new solutions and create ROI business cases for successful implementation.
  • Effectively manage all BAU banking issues and queries, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of seniority.
  • Create and maintain core-banking relationships, balancing optimal financial value with service delivery.
  • Identify and implement best market practices and solutions for both partners and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations, and maintain our tax policy.
  • Manage ad-hoc projects and contribute to the team in identifying and proposing changes to increase compliance, efficiency, and cost reduction.
Requirements
  • Mastery in banking products and cash management solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of finance technology and infrastructure, and in-country regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong work ethic, self-directed, and resourceful.
  • Solution-oriented and result-driven, with a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Fluent in English to a good level of proficiency, with the ability to conduct and conclude highly technical discussions and agreements.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, and prior experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships.
  • Able to adapt style and approach to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders from a variety of different cultures.
  • Unrelenting tenacity to drive business objectives and deliver results.
