Role OverviewIn the capacity of Distribution Resource Planner for our Specialty Plastics division in EMEA, you will serve as the critical link among Sales, Customer Service, Warehousing, and Global Planning. Your primary objective is to ensure a seamless supply chain process by effectively balancing supply, inventory, and demand. You will also be a key collaborator on all supply-related inquiries from various business partners, including Management, Demand Managers, Product Quality, Sales, Logistics, Customer Services, Manufacturing, and Supply Planning teams. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, you will work closely with the global supply chain team.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning: You will create and manage a rolling 6-month supply plan for imported products, executing essential analytics to achieve optimal demand and supply equilibrium. Additionally, you will assist the Supply Manager in formulating a 24-month supply plan and actively participate in the S&OP process, leading S&OE meetings and communicating summaries to stakeholders.
- Inventory Management: You will oversee warehouse inventory planning for external warehouses, manage inventory levels and replenishment orders in accordance with established targets, and address aged and blocked inventories. Collaborating with manufacturing and product management, you will work to minimize business impacts and conduct monthly reconciliations of inventory levels at third-party warehouses, while also leading assigned annual physical stock counts.
- Project Coordination: You will support and facilitate problem-solving related to customer inquiries and business processes, including product management, complaint resolution, and returned materials. You will comprehend business and product strategies for the relevant product range and ensure timely review and approval of complaint resolutions. Additionally, you will identify and initiate improvement opportunities in processes, tools, and knowledge, including optimizing shipment modes, loads, and packaging based on cost and inventory considerations.
- Reporting: You will be responsible for timely and effective analysis and reporting, assessing demand data and measuring forecast accuracy, evaluating and maintaining Safety Stock and Target Inventory figures for the region, and ensuring compliance with Corporate Standard Operating Procedures and all Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

QualificationsThis position demands strategic thinking coupled with methodical execution. You should have proven experience in Planning and Inventory, ideally within the process industry, along with strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in advanced Excel, SAP, and Advanced Planning Software (preferably OMP). A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related fields is required, with APICS CPIM or a comparable certification considered a strong advantage.
