About the Role

Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled Transmission Consultant to join our Energy Transition team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping Transmission & Distribution companies in the Netherlands and abroad with their network expansions and reinforcements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical client liaison from initial contact through project delivery
  • Defining, contributing, and/or delivering of Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects throughout the project lifecycle
  • Challenging, proposing, agreeing, and implementing alternative solutions compared with those dictated by the T&D specifications, policies, processes, and best practices
  • Designing and/or producing electrical engineering deliverables where appropriate (e.g., for substations, cable, or overhead line connections)
Requirements
  • Degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering (either BSc, MSc, or PhD) or relevant T&D expertise built up during the career
  • Experience working as a substation and/or plant Consultant/Lead Engineer to international and/or industry standards
  • Broad knowledge of Transmission & Distribution work field & technologies and a good understanding of how technology influences the operation and performance of the Power Grid
  • Familiar with international T&D standards, working methods, and software tooling (e.g., Revitt, Elcad, Primtech, AutoCAD, PS CAD, etc.)
  • Can demonstrate success in designing and/or engineering and/or delivering projects safely to budget, time, and quality that meets customer expectations
  • Proven ability of working with internal and external parties, e.g., equipment suppliers, manufacturers, service providers, professional bodies, and working within a strong international/diverse team-working culture
  • Capable of communicating complex technical or commercial issues to peers or senior managers and (external) stakeholders
  • Experience in writing clear and concise offers, documentation, and reports
