Senior High Voltage Electrical Consultant

We are seeking a High Voltage (HV) Electrical Engineer / Consultant to assist our clients globally in enhancing the affordability, sustainability, and reliability of their high voltage electricity transmission and distribution systems.
You will be an integral member of the Transmission & Distribution Technology team at DNV's headquarters.
Our diverse team comprises 50 professionals with varying educational backgrounds, including PhD, MSc, and BSc holders, from different cultures. Together, we provide specialized and innovative consultancy services to our clients, primarily focusing on transmission and distribution system operators, power utilities, and industrial sectors.
Your role will involve participation in both national and international projects, collaborating with other teams within DNV that specialize in areas such as substation projects, asset management, and renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct engineering and consultancy tasks, offering expert advice on high voltage electricity Transmission & Distribution (T&D) infrastructure.Execute electrical design for HVAC/HVDC systems, substations, interconnectors, and components related to overhead lines, including insulation design, lightning performance, and conductor selection.
Additionally, you will:
Develop specifications and tender documentation.Carry out or observe commissioning tests, such as factory or site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT).
Produce clear, high-quality reports and commercial proposals.
Identify market opportunities and contribute to the development of our service portfolio and roadmap.
Engage in business development activities.

We are looking for a proactive and ambitious HV Electrical Engineer / Consultant who is an enthusiastic and results-driven team player.
Required Qualifications:
MSc or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Extensive and in-depth experience with T&D primary equipment and operations.
Experience working with clients in Western Europe is advantageous.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Dutch is preferred.
Willingness to travel, approximately 20% of your time abroad.
