We are seeking a High Voltage (HV) Electrical Engineer / Consultant dedicated to assisting our clients globally in enhancing the affordability, sustainability, and reliability of their high voltage electricity transmission and distribution systems.

You will join the Transmission & Distribution Technology team at Energy headquarters in Arnhem, Netherlands.

Our diverse team comprises 50 professionals with varying educational backgrounds (PhD, MSc, and BSc) and cultural perspectives. Together, we provide specialized and innovative consultancy services primarily to transmission and distribution system operators, power utilities, and industrial clients.

Your role will involve engaging in both national and international projects, collaborating with other teams within DNV that focus on substation projects, asset management, and renewable energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct engineering and consultancy tasks, offering expert advice on high voltage electricity Transmission & Distribution (T&D) infrastructure
Execute electrical designs for HVAC/HVDC systems, substations, interconnectors, and components related to overhead lines, including insulation design, lightning performance, and conductor selection

Additionally, you will:

Prepare specifications and tender documentation
Oversee or witness commissioning tests such as factory or site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT)
Produce high-quality reports and commercial proposals
Identify market opportunities and contribute to the development of our service portfolio and roadmap
Support business development initiatives

We are looking for a proactive and ambitious HV Electrical Engineer / Consultant who is an enthusiastic and results-driven team player.

You should possess:

MSc or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Extensive experience with T&D primary equipment, particularly in the T&D sector
Familiarity with customer interactions in Western Europe is advantageous
Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Dutch is preferred
Willingness to travel (approximately 20% of your time abroad)
