We are seeking a High Voltage Electrical Engineer / Consultant dedicated to assisting our clients globally in enhancing the affordability, sustainability, and reliability of their high voltage electricity transmission and distribution systems.

As a member of the Transmission & Distribution Technology team at DNV, you will collaborate with a diverse group of 50 professionals, including PhD, MSc, and BSc holders from various backgrounds and cultures. Together, we provide specialized and innovative consultancy services to our primary clients, which include transmission and distribution system operators, power utilities, and industrial sectors.

Your role will encompass participation in both national and international projects, working alongside other teams within DNV that focus on substation initiatives, asset management, and renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct engineering and consultancy tasks, offering expert advice on high voltage electricity Transmission & Distribution (T&D) infrastructure.
Execute electrical designs for HVAC/HVDC systems, substations, interconnectors, and components related to overhead lines, including insulation design, lightning performance, and conductor selection.

Additionally, you will:

Develop specifications and tender documentation.
Oversee or participate in commissioning tests such as factory or site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT).
Create or contribute to comprehensive and high-quality reports and commercial proposals.
Identify market opportunities and enhance our service portfolio and roadmap.
Engage in business development activities.

We are looking for a proactive and ambitious HV Electrical Engineer / Consultant who is an enthusiastic and results-driven team player.

Required Qualifications:

MSc or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Extensive and in-depth experience with T&D primary equipment and operations.
Familiarity with customer interactions in Western Europe is advantageous.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Dutch is preferred.
Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.
