Strategic Logistics Excellence Manager

We are looking for a skilled Operational Excellence Project Manager to join our ambitious team in Amsterdam.

The successful candidate will take a leading role in developing a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in our supply chain. This involves collecting and analyzing data, diagnosing and monitoring operational processes, and implementing solutions that improve the day-to-day work of our Logistics operational teams.

Additionally, the individual will raise awareness of our Operational Excellence (OpEx) strategy across the company, engage people from multiple departments, and promote a culture of change while expanding our OpEx network.

The role also entails connecting ground operations with our management system, fostering the evolution of our Logistics Target Operating Model.

About the Role
  • Lead Operational Excellence projects, identifying improvement opportunities and ensuring their implementation with relevant teams.
  • Effectively manage cross-departmental projects, ensuring effective scoping, planning, communication, and stakeholder management.
  • Detect process inefficiencies, collaborate with stakeholders, and implement improvements to enhance quality, reduce waste, and lower costs.
  • Analyze incidents disrupting daily operations, using problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement our Logistics Target Operating Model, supporting teams in its implementation.
  • Schedule tiered meetings across the department, ensuring teams analyze deviations, set targets, and create a continuous improvement cycle.
  • Provide internal consultative services on OpEx projects and activities, such as process mapping, value stream mapping, process design, data collection methods, performance standards/metrics, ROI analysis, 5 Why's, and other project management tools.
  • Build capability within teams by targeting training in OpEx tools and methodologies.
  • Communicate and propagate OpEx success stories across the business, acting as a change agent within HelloFresh.
About You
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in an operational environment, such as logistics, manufacturing, production, or fulfillment, preferably in FMCG.
  • 2-3 years of proven experience in project management, managing mid-to-large-scale projects.
  • Preferred experience in Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement, in World Class Manufacturing, Lean Management, and/or Toyota Production System principles and methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge of Logistics Management Systems and Target Operating Models.
  • A strong analytical mindset, using data to inform decisions, and proficiency in SQL and Data Warehouse concepts.
  • A proven track record of building capabilities, coaching, training, mentoring, and nurturing teams.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, able to navigate and influence others from C-level to the shop floor.
