Role Summary
We are seeking a talented Maritime Innovation Researcher to join our team at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in predictive maintenance within the maritime sector.
About the Job
The Professional Doctorate Candidate will work on a practice-oriented research project that contributes to the sustainability, safety, and competitiveness of the maritime sector. The candidate will conduct research in predictive maintenance, focusing on the financial, environmental, and operational aspects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct practice-oriented research in predictive maintenance
- Develop and implement novel predictive maintenance strategies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve research goals
- Communicate research findings through academic publications and presentations
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a completed master's degree in the maritime field or a relevant field, with a research topic relevant to the project. The candidate should have up-to-date knowledge of maritime practice and experience in maintenance and repair. Strong coding skills, preferably in Python, are highly desirable. A demonstrable good command of the Dutch and English language (at least level C1) is also required.
What We Offer
The successful candidate will receive a gross monthly salary between € 3.896,- and € 5.936,-, based on a full-time appointment and depending on education and experience. The candidate will also be entitled to various benefits, including an end-of-year bonus, holiday allowance, and travel allowance.
