Job Description

The successful candidate will develop an innovative AI-based tool for the optimal operation of multi-energy systems in different time horizons, using a rolling horizon approach. The tool will exploit multi-energy flexibility from multiple Energy Management Systems (EMSs) and apply AI models at the device levels to quantify flexibility potential. The candidate will contribute to the EU project DigiRES, as part of the Electrical Energy Systems group at Eindhoven University of Technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an AI-based tool for multi-energy system optimization
  • Apply AI models at the device levels to quantify flexibility potential
  • Contribute to the EU project DigiRES

Requirements

  • PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Information & Communication Technology, Data Science, or equivalent
  • Solid knowledge in Grid operation and control, Digital technologies, and AI/Machine Learning techniques
  • Strong competence in Control theory, Optimization, and Complexity theory
  • Excellent relevant modeling skills in Python
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with industrial partners
