Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at TU Eindhoven. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will be responsible for conducting research into the development and implementation of the IoE platform for assessing the value and profitability of flexibility services, optimizing multi-carrier energy systems, and developing control strategies.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, with excellent knowledge of data structures and analysis, algorithms, communication technology, and platform integration. You will also have strong competence in optimization and complexity theory, as well as excellent relevant modeling skills in Python.

The candidate will implement the developed platform, especially in the Dutch pilot, monitor measurement data and control in real-time, and design a dashboard to visualize measurement data, results from control strategies, and calculated KPIs. You will contribute to the EU project Digi RES, as part of the Electrical Energy Systems group at Electrical Engineering dept at TU/e.

Job Requirements
  • A MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Solid knowledge in Data structure and analysis, Algorithm, Communication technology, and experience in Platform integration.
  • Strong competence in optimization, and complexity theory.
  • Excellent relevant modeling skills in Python.
  • A design-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work in a team and interested in collaborating with the industrial partners.
  • An academic attitude in order to develop new technologies and perform applied research with an integral view on what is needed for the future energy system.
  • An excellent command of the English language, both in speaking and writing.
