EAME Commercial Director for Polymers

The Mitsubishi Chemical Group is a leading provider of specialty materials, driven by a commitment to innovation and excellence. Our expertise in material science enables us to deliver cutting-edge solutions in key market segments, including Mobility, Digital, Food, and Healthcare.

We are seeking a seasoned commercial leader to drive the EAME polymer commercial strategy, focusing on high-value sales growth and Acrypet sales expansion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing commercial teams, developing strategic partnerships, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate the commercial team to deliver growth strategies, ensuring sales targets are met and technical and language coverage aligns with strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to drive PMMA partnership and high-volume Acrypet sales in the EMEA market.
  • Maintain close partnerships with senior-level customers and distributors to optimize long-term profitable growth.
  • Steer the S&OP improvement process to align customer process with plant capability and raw material stock, ensuring an efficient customer order acceptance rate.
  • Collaborate with the R&D manager to prioritize new product development and its commercial introduction to the market, identifying opportunities to expand the product portfolio.
  • Oversee all commercial procedures for the Polymer business, including reports, business control, commercial, and sales reviews.
  • Develop the annual sales budget, including the commercial team cost budget, and manage commercial team costs against the budget.

Requirements:

  • University degree.
  • Ability to work across various cultures, demonstrating flexibility and prioritization skills to deliver the strategy effectively.
  • Proven experience in managing people and maximizing the potential of the commercial team.
  • Strong and lasting relationships with key customers are crucial.
  • Flexibility in communication across time zones and willingness to travel, including trips to Japan for interface management.
