Job Title: Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team in the Netherlands. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Health and Safety for the Fluence office in Amsterdam and for all projects in the BeNelux area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a health and safety officer (preventiemedewerker) and focus on day-to-day health and safety issues within our company.
  • Develop and implement Health and Safety procedures, conduct inspections and audits, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members and collaborate closely with various departments to drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the Sales department in all pre-qualification processes and act as a Health and Safety Project specialist.
  • Participate in onsite supplier and subcontractor audits and assist in building supplier and subcontractor Health and Safety programs and policies.
Requirements:
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as engineering, Health and Safety management, or a related discipline.
  • Previous training as health and safety officer accordingly Dutch regulation (preventiemedewerker) and previous experience in Health and Safety control or assurance roles within manufacturing, engineering, or a related industry (minimum 10 years).
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety control techniques, tools, and methodologies, including statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety management standards such as ISO 45001 is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch language, with German or other European languages being a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Possess a valid residency in European Union and a valid driving license.
