Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team in the Netherlands. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Health and Safety for the Fluence office in Amsterdam and for all projects in the BeNelux area to ensure the highest standards are maintained across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Act as a health and safety officer (preventiemedewerker) and focus on day-to-day health and safety issues within our company.
- Develop and implement Health and Safety procedures, conduct inspections and audits, identify areas for improvement, and provide guidance and training to team members.
- Collaborate closely with various departments to drive continuous improvement and uphold our commitment to delivering superior products and services.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as engineering, Health and Safety management, or a related discipline.
- Previous training as health and safety officer accordingly Dutch regulation (preventiemedewerker).
- Previous experience in Health and Safety control or assurance roles within manufacturing, engineering, or a related industry (minimum 10 years).
- Experience with Health and Safety management systems (QMS) and Health and Safety control methodologies is highly desirable.
- Fluent in English and Dutch language. German or other European languages are a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Possess a valid residency in European Union.
- Possess a valid driving license.
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and carefully.
- Availability to travel 50% of the time in the Netherlands and adjacent countries (Belgium, Luxemburg Germany, UK).
