About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team at Bunge in Amsterdam. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of all employees and promoting a culture of proactive safety.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a safety-first culture and encourage open reporting of safety concerns.
  • Develop and maintain safety metrics and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in safety management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
