About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team at Bunge in Amsterdam. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of all employees and promoting a culture of proactive safety.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a safety-first culture and encourage proactive safety behaviors.
- Develop and maintain safety metrics and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
- Proven experience in safety management, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to safety and health.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
