We are seeking a seasoned Internal Control Strategist to join our team at TenneT, a leading European grid operator. As a key member of our Audit, Risk and Compliance & Integrity (ARC) unit, you will play a crucial role in driving our risk mitigation strategy forward.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of €4,369 - €8,594 per month, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes a 40-hour workweek and an indefinite contract type.

Job Description

As an Internal Control Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and strengthening our risk and internal control function to ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements. Your key tasks will include:

  • Developing and managing our internal control framework (policies, processes, and procedures)
  • Regular comprehensive risk and process analysis to ensure accurate design of controls and definition of mitigating actions in all critical areas
  • Periodic review procedures to validate the design and operating effectiveness of controls and recommend mitigation and remediation actions where necessary
  • Implementing improvements to internal control processes and systems to increase efficiency, data quality, and employee engagement
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, IT, or related study areas
  • Substantial experience in internal control, auditing, or risk management, especially in control design, control testing, and consulting of business process owners and IT operations
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in ERP systems, particularly SAP S/4HANA
  • Project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously and collaborate with cross-functional teams
